Accrediting Bodies Association for Workplace Transport

The Accrediting Bodies Association for Workplace Transport (ABA) has introduced an updated Associated Knowledge test standard for Counterbalance and Reach Truck operators.

The revised test format replaces the previous five open-ended written questions with five multiple selection questions. This change aims to make the assessment process more accessible and to evaluate operator knowledge and competence more effectively.

By adopting this new format, the ABA hopes to provide additional support for neurodiverse learners and those who may experience language barriers.

The updated test standard will be mandatory for all organisations accredited by ABA members from 1st March 2025. AITT members can now access the revised test paper in the members' area.
